A trained classical pianist, vocalist and writer Deborah Heaton grew up near Nashville, and has been running from country music ever since. Preferring swift, unexpected changes, Deborah has since found her home writing funky and energetic songs along the lines of Stevie Wonder, Ben Folds, and Aretha Franklin. Norah Jones is a prime influence for more nostalgic, softer ballads. Her first album Moonbeans, debuting in 2015, featured jazzy piano, brass lines, rapped verses and funky breakdowns.

Delivered with a sweet and sincere voice, Deborah's songs are "spiritual," with an “invigorating blend of world-weariness and playfulness.” Each song is a quest to find the meaning in unconditional love.
